When Sharing a Personal Experience Unexpectedly Goes Viral
Yesterday, I shared something very simple on Threads. I wrote about my experience visiting a hospital here in Japan, where I'm currently pursuing my Ph.D. What surprised me the most wasn't the treatment itself, but the cost. Thanks to Japan's National Health Insurance, the consultation and laboratory tests were much more affordable than what I used to pay as a general (out-of-pocket) patient in Indonesia. I thought it was just a personal observation. I wasn't trying to compare which country is better or worse. I was simply sharing something that genuinely surprised me.
